Day 5 - the village

The villages continue to be the high point of our trip. We leave down a two lain road, drive thru what I have come to appreciate as a town, on to a dirt road past the goats and chickens and women carrying everything obn their heads to a village. Today's village was larger than the others with more buildings. A courtyard, and apparently a tribal meeting hall where we met the chief and his elders. After that I
T was business as usual. We each saw 30 -40 people with a variety of complainta. "Waist" or back pain the most common followed buy a variety of gi complaints. We offer what we can, occasionally encouraging referral to the hospital, or writing a script. The villagers seem grateful, more accurately hopeful, that we will help. Then we play a little and go home to pack for tomorrow.
I will try to include representative pictures, in order to allow you to see what I saw. Of course we do not really help,Except possibly to give hope. It is only in the continual presence and education that any true hope can be achieved. But it s i
